Village Country Inn Website
PROPERTY HIGHLIGHTS
*Building on the National Register of Historic Places |
The Village Country Inn, a Clarion Collection Choice Hotel, was built in 1889, originally built as a private home as is custom for many bed and breakfast/Inns. It is ideally located in the pristine historic village of Manchester, within walking distance of world-class shopping at the Manchester Designer Outlets mall, as well as fabulous art galleries, antique shops and the famous Frog Hollow Vermont State Craft Center. The guest rooms are all decorated uniquely with the common areas feeling more like home than a modern hotel. The restaurant, called the Rose Room, has the potential for intimate dining for up to 80 guests. The Taven in the Green, which includes a fireplace, seats approximately 30 people for drinks from a fully stocked bar and can be utilized as meeting space upon request. Up to 80 people can be accommodated indoors or 150 in an outside tent. A meeting facility could be built where the tent is used by a new owner. The restaurant was operated by the Inn owners until 2001 when it was leased to an outside group for five years. The lease is now expired and the restaurant is only utilized for breakfast and special occassions. Guest rooms are fully furnished in traditional decor. Every room is unique with names like Love Letters, Queen Anne's Lace, Jardin Suite and Rose Arbor. Color televisions and telephones are available in every room as is coffee each morning. Rooms and suites come with either a King or Queen sized bed with one Jacuzzi suite. Nestled in the picturesque Green Mountains of southern Vermont, this 100 percent non-smoking, boutique-style Manchester, VT hotel is just off historic Route 7A, less than one mile from the center of town, where visitors will find the world-famous Northshire Bookstore. The Manchester Music Festival can be enjoyed all year long. Spend the day at the nearby Southern Vermont Arts Center or Dorset Playhouse theater. The Village Country Inn features 32 rooms and suites, a full-service dining room, full size outdoor pool and spacious gardens that can accommodate large groups for special occassions. The French Rabbit Boutique is a gift shop full of antiques and local arts and crafts. A business center is near the lobby with high-speed internet access. The second building on the property is a converted barn which houses the Everton Fitness Room. The second floor of the barn is currently unfinished but could be converted into usable space. The Grand Equinox Hotel, located on block away, provides spa access for guests of the Inn. There are additional accommodations for up to ten employees in four rooms, plus private baths and a kitchen.
