Wason Associates Announces Sale of Comfort Inn Ellsworth, Maine
Wason Associates Hospitality Real Estate Brokerage Group is pleased to announce the sale of the Comfort Inn Ellsworth located in Ellsworth, Maine.
The property changed hands on August 14, 2009 and was sold by SuperTel, a national Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) company based in Norfolk, Nebraska. The 63-room, interior-corridor hotel is a well-established property in a prime location. It frequently hosts tourists and visitors to down east Maine and the nearby Bar Harbor, Maine.
“This was a successful offering; The Comfort Inn Ellsworth was the SuperTel’s only property in the Northeast and therefore the disposition of this property was to focus its efforts on its closer locations,” states Earle Wason, President of Wason Associates. “Closing a transaction in the current market environment will most often call for creative solutions. We were fortunate to negotiate the transaction of the Comfort Inn Ellsworth to a buyer who owned multiple properties within the region.
